While rear-wheel drive is standard in the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, just going with four-wheel drive instead will immediately make it off-road ready. However, there are two trims to think about for the best performance. The Trail Boss comes with four-wheel drive, as well as:
- Two-inch suspension lift
- Enhanced shock absorbers
- Skid plates
- Mud-terrain tires
- 2-speed transfer case
The ZR2 adds quite a few more off-road goodies, including:
