2023 Chevy Bolt EUV Side View

If you’ve been waiting to pick up a Chevy electric vehicle (EV), we don’t suggest waiting too long. This is because the company has decided to discontinue two models, the Chevy Bolt EUV and Chevy Bolt EV, which will cease production at the end of 2023.

Why is Chevy Discontinuing These Models?

Despite their popularity, Chevrolet has decided not to continue with the two Chevy Bolt models because of their batteries. The brand is heavily invested in the Ultium® platform, which will underpin a wide range of upcoming models, including the Chevy Blazer EV and Chevy Equinox EV, arriving at Phelps Chevrolet soon.

What Do These Chevy EVs Offer?

Just because they’re going away doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider buying a Chevy Bolt. Besides being some of the most affordable EVs available, they offer a host of other benefits:

Great EPA-Estimated Range

What range anxiety? The Chevy Bolt EV will give you 131 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) in the city and 109 MPGe on the highway, while the Chevy Bolt EUV offers 125 MPGe in the city and 104 MPGe on the highway.

Furthermore, the Chevy Bolt EV has a driving range of up to 259 miles on a fully-charged battery, while the Chevy Bolt EUV can go up to 247 miles on a full charge. Plus, both vehicles can power up in about seven hours with a 240-volt outlet.

Advanced Tech and Safety Features

Both the Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV come with the latest features, including:

  • Remote keyless entry
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto®
  • Wi-Fi® hotspot
  • Satellite radio
  • Lane departure warning with lane-keep assist
  • Forward collision warning with forward automatic emergency braking
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
