2025 Chevy Silverado 2500

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD share many features, but the bigger sibling has more power. We feature both models at our showroom, so visit us at Phelps Chevrolet to experience the difference for yourself!

Dominant Power

The biggest thing that sets these two dominant models apart is the raw power under the hood. The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers two gasoline powertrains, with the standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3® V8 delivering 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD comes standard with a 6.6-liter V8 engine that produces 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque.

The difference in power becomes clearer when both models are outfitted with available diesel engines. The Duramax® 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel engine, available on the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, offers 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. When outfitted with the available 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel engine, on the other hand, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD produces 470 horsepower and an incredible 975 lb-ft of torque, giving you force for the most demanding jobs.

Towing and Hauling

With more power comes more towing, letting you bring everything along to the worksite. The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 tops out at 13,300 pounds of trailer and a 2,260-pound payload, while the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD offers up to 36,000 pounds of towing capability and 7,234 pounds of payload capacity.* Each has several standard and optional technologies to make your trip easier and safer.
