As of August 25, 2025, the card moved from Marcus by Goldman Sachs to Barclays as part of a new long-term partnership with General Motors. The program continues under the Mastercard® brand, so cardmembers enjoy wide acceptance wherever Mastercard is accepted.
How Earning Points Works
The earning structure is where the GM Rewards™ Mastercard® really delivers. Card members earn 7x points for every $1 spent on eligible GM purchases when using the card, plus up to 3x additional points for being a GM Rewards Program member — that’s up to 10x points on eligible GM purchases combined. All other everyday purchases earn 3x points per $1 spent, and enrollment in the free GM Rewards Program is automatic for new card members.
New card members can also earn 30,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 within 90 days of account opening.
What You Can Redeem Points For
Points earned through the GM Rewards™ Mastercard® can be applied toward the purchase or lease of an eligible new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac vehicle, as well as toward GM Financial account balances, genuine GM parts, accessories, and eligible services. Points also apply toward most OnStar® plans and available Super Cruise® subscriptions. There are no maximum point limits on redemptions and no vehicle restrictions.
