Keeping your Chevy car in good condition involves two parts: getting it the service it needs and putting in new parts when necessary. These are the Chevy parts that need to be replaced on a regular basis:

Oil Filter

The job of the oil filter is to keep harmful things like dirt out of the engine. And because the filter collects these particles, it gets dirty quickly. While they can be cleaned, eventually they will need to be replaced, and this should be done generally every other oil change.

Wiper Blades

During the rainy season, your windshield wiper blades put in a lot of work. But, even if they’re not in use, they can wear down. Heat and rays from the sun can cause the rubber to fray and crack, which is why they don’t typically have a very long lifespan.

Battery

The battery is something else that doesn’t typically last very long. They’re usually good for about four or five years before needing to be swapped out for a new one. This is why if your battery is older, it’s a smart idea to regularly have it tested.

Brake Pads

Your brake pads are an essential part of your braking system. Over time, however, they wear down and will need to be replaced. (If you hear a squeaking sound when you apply the brakes, this is a big clue.) Generally, brake pads are good for about 20,000 miles.

If your Chevy vehicle is in need of one of these parts or any others, you can get it through the parts department at Phelps Chevrolet in Greenville. Anything can also be installed in our service center as well.
